Business is GREAT Poland – Global Export Week

Global export week starts on 11 November and we’ve got a Polish team in the UK all week promoting the GREAT opportunities on offer for British companies in this fast growing market. Over the course of the week they’ve got over 100 meetings. If you haven’t made an appointment don’t worry – I am sure they will find time to talk to you.

Poland – what’s it like for business

Poland is an untouched market for British business (we only supply 3% of Poland’s total imports) – however Poland is a market which is full of potential, easy to access and can generate significant return for your company.

Where’s the Opportunity?

To give you a scope for the market, we’ve just issued an Economic Scorecard with PWC – that gives you the growth perspectiveThis report is online and comes with a GREAT app to see where you should be looking to do serious business.

There are 3 opportunities we should be thinking about:

  1. Direct exports of finished products or services
  2. Supply chain sales – Poland is the manufacturing centre for Central Europe
  3. Local sourcing a a route to export

To give you a feel for the scope, Tesco, BP and Shell are big retailers with over 400 outlets each. On the supply chain side Unilever, AB Foods and GSK have big manufacturing operations. In financial services PWC, Provident, HSBC, Aviva and RSA are all big players out here.
