We’ve been on tour all week with the GREAT Mini and Bus Team across the western part of Poland promoting Emerging Europe as a GREAT business destination and for those internationally minded Polish companies pointing out that the UK is a GREAT place to do business.

On Thursday GREAT Mini Cooper had the GREATEST of pleasure to visit Gorzów Wielkopolski and Barlinek. The drive was GREAT — beautiful countryside which is now easily accessible thanks to Poland’s GREAT road network. If you’re flying in from the UK Berlin is close at hand.

Barlinek is home in Poland to a GREAT British Company Caparo Group, a specialist engineering services and solutions company which also produces innovative and technologically advanced  metal and composite products. I bet you didn’t know that Caparo produces a number of parts for the Mini in a number of its many plants in the UK. I bet you also didn’t know that Caparo is innovating in the motorsport business with its composites business.

Caparo founded by Lord Paul of Marylebone is an excellent example of how services and manufacturing come together to enable the UK to be at the forefront of innovation and technology. Caparo has also had the vision and foresight to create a Polish dimension to its business as a platform for growth in our rapidly developing region. Capara Polska,  a GREAT British Polish company leading the way in engineering diagnostics and technology.
