Royal Visit to Kerala: Day 2
Today is the most challenging day. Two separate programmes for their Royal Highnesses mean that all our staff will be in the field, leaving limited surge capacity to handle any unexpected issues. and weather forecasts predicting the start of the monsoon add to the risks.
His Royal Highness will visit Cochin Shipyard where UK companies are heavily involved in building ships, including on the first indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. He will then travel out of Cochin to visit an innovative approach for animal conservation at one of India’s elephant corridors, engaging with NGOs including Elephant Family, Wildlife Trust of India, Wildlife Protection Society of India and WWF – of which HRH is patron – and meet wildlife guards active in the reserve.
The Duchess of Cornwall has an equally full programme, visiting a Nursing School, a ground-breaking Women’s self-reliance programme called “Kudumbushree”, and a fantastic school which will highlight the British Council’s education partnerships in Kerala.
Greetings from Ohio! I’m bored at work so I decided
to browse your blog on my iphone during lunch break.
I really like the info you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.
I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my mobile ..
I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, fantastic blog!
Thanks Ohio!
The rain was far from being a damp squib. It kind of added its own Keralite charm to the programme
Thanks Yvette: I agree.
