Serah is a Science and Innovation Officer, based at the British High Commission in Nairobi. Serah provides support for UK stakeholders in establishing R&D linkages with Kenya and also leads on the Newton Fund.
Prior to joining the Science and Innovation Network (SIN), Serah worked as a research and policy officer at the Kenya Climate Innovation Center, a World Bank funded initiative, where she provided research and policy advice to innovative start-ups developing climate-smart solutions. She also worked as a researcher at the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), a local think-tank, where she coordinated research projects in science and innovation, climate change and renewable energy.

Both positions provided her an opportunity to contribute in development of sector policies and engage with a variety of stakeholders in the government, private sector, academia and the civil society. Serah holds a Masters’ Degree in International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelors’ Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Nairobi.
