Emerging Europe – North West
Good Afternoon from somewhere on the M6 just South of the UK’s Great Lake District,
We’re on the way north to Scotland!
We’ve just had a really great EMERGING EUROPE North West UK event. Over 100 quality businesses who are really interested in exporting to our exciting region. Manufacturing and trading companies – where export can really add value to what they are doing. I must say we’ve also come up with a really practical format for the events during our roadshow. How did Preston look then?
The programme for the day was headed up by Robin Barnett, HM Ambassador to Poland and Director FCO CEN Network and Jonathan Knott HMA to Hungary. A great political and economic overview highlighting just how the countries have changed since accession to Europe and the plethora of opportunity which exists for UK companies across the region. On trade one key message – we’re doing ok but we could be doing much better!
Patak’s are selling some of their great curry sauces in the region – in fact Poland is one of their leading export markets. Cussons have also been in the market since the beginning. We want more though.
Following the Ambassador a line up of individual market presentations all highlighting opportunity. We’ve got such a lot to offer in retail, food & drink; security & defence; health & life science; energy & infrastructure and manufacturing. To help you we have created a ‘one stop shop’ approach to the market and have 1 Customer Relationship Manager for each priority sector across the region – see for yourself by clicking below:

In the afternoon a packed hall of individual business meetings. A programme especially designed to bring the Emerging Europe Region closer to the UK and for UK companies to seize the great opportunities which exist across the region just 2 hours away from the UK.
EMERGING EUROPE – emerging market opportunity on the UK’s doorstep!
