S&I India gets creative
On 25 September the Science and Innovation Network in India are holding an event in a brand new sector.
We are expanding into the creative economy and this month are aiming to build links between Indian and UK digital media businesses. With expertise in a wide range of areas, the UK exports billions of pounds worth of creative products and services each year. It has one of the most advanced digital media industries in the world, combining cutting-edge digital technology with creativity. For example the UK produces 12 per cent of global sales of recorded music, half the world’s top 100 computer games and 4 of the world’s largest visual effects firms are based in Soho, London.
If you haven’t received an invitation yet, please email to find out more.
The event will be of particular interest to those involved in the creation, distribution and consumption of content and experience for mobile devices. We expect to have a range of companies attending, covering areas such as Value Added Services (VAS), commerce and payment, animation, advertising and many more. It will also be relevant for investors, as we will be exploring the differences in investment landscapes and the opportunities for investment and future funding.
There will be a workshop during the day which will include keynote presentations about markets and trends, breakout sessions to explore opportunities, pitches from some of the companies and panel discussions.
This will be a great way of hearing in detail about the expertise of the visiting UK companies, the different situations that companies in the UK and India encounter and where connections and collaborations can be forged. During the evening of 25 September we will also be hosting a reception, open to those who attended the workshop and others, to allow time for networking.
We are really excited about assisting digital media companies in learning about the commercial opportunities that are available and taking forward UK-India collaboration in this area. Information on the event was sent to a number of our contacts in August and this week we’ll be sending out the invitations. If you’ve not received yours, please email for further information.
