Dr. Himangi Bhardwaj is the Senior Health Adviser for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office network in India. Her overall mandate is to contribute to a stronger, wider, and deeper, mutually beneficial UK-India health partnership, by building a cohesive UK offer and leading on the policy dialogue with appropriate Indian counterparts.

Himangi is trained in medicine, and has the experience of working in the public and the private sector in India, including some remote rural settings. Her postgraduate training was in public health, with specialisation in health policy, economics, and finance, from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has also worked previously for a large corporate hospital chain in India, managing their preventive health services nationally. Her research interests include health systems strengthening, reproductive and child health, and participatory practices for improving health outcomes.
