From Hel to Wladyslawowo and onto Gdynia
We had a GREAT day in Hel. Right down in the port, lots of visitors – some GREAT things to see and a visit to a Fokarium. That’s Polish for where seals live. Hel is a beacon of the Polish spirit in the Baltic – a star at the end of a thin strip of land in places only a few hundred metres wide. A must for the tourists with its fine beaches yet with old military ruins bringing back memories of years gone by.
Today we are calling into Wladyslawowo – wow that’s a mouthful – waddiswahvovo, that’s a bit easier. A bustling and busy resort at the end of the strip before you go back onto mainland. A single rail track bringing holidaymakers onto the peninsula or the last station on their way back home following a GREAT vacation.
No rest and relax for us though – we’re pounding the trail into Gdynia today. We’re off for a bit of sport and fitness this morning – Sport is GREAT before heading off to Rolls Royce for lunch. Now that’s an interesting one. Rolls is into anything which is linked with power – planes, helicopters, power stations and ships. The last one’s important here – they have an Emerging Europe marine engineering centre in Gdynia.
From Rolls off to Port Gdynia. We’re on the trail for the bus again – where is the bus – you may think its in Gdynia – you’d be right. The GREAT minis say there may be more than one bus. We’re on the lookout.
Tonight we’ve got a little event in Port Gdynia. Tomorrow we’re on the seafront promoting GREAT business opportunity. There’s much to do here. We’re up for the challenge!
Look out for us @greatstopbus on Facebook
