Here in Istanbul there are countless institutions teaching English. Many are excellent.
But did you know that there are also some fantastic interactive English language-learning sites on the Internet available free from our very own British Council?
Some of my favourites are:
- A site aimed at very young children learning English
- A site designed for teenagers to learn English
- A site linking English and football (brilliant!) called “Premier Skills”. Quote from site: learn English on line with the help of this free website brought to you by the British Council and Barclays Premier League. Communicate in two of the world’s global languages – English and football
- A general site for learning English, including all kinds of other great resources.
Many of you may find something on one or more of these sites which really helps you or someone in your family to make faster progress with learning English. Have fun!
