As economic recovery and competitiveness are at the heart of the European agenda, the British Embassy plans to run a media training programme on this heavyweight issue in the autumn.
The idea is to bring a senior British business journalist to Romania to share from his/her experience in reporting and commenting about the challenges and opportunities facing the European bloc, Romania and the UK included. After all, the EU is the world’s largest market with 500 million consumers generating 11 trillion Euro of economic activity. We operate in a global market, and we need to think beyond the national or European borders and ask ourselves what is our competitive advantage. And I believe the mass media have a key role in shaping this thought process.
So would like to ask you:
- What should be the main topic for this training? Please be specific and consider what could be the single most pressing economic issue for both Romania and the EU;
- Which British journalist should we invite to Bucharest and why?
We welcome your suggestions, whether you are a journalist of not, and your help to shape up this training opportunity.
