The British Embassy in Romania has decided to support a wonderful project, which I think will prove that Romanians do stick up for themselves and do care about the environment.
I’ve been telling you about the Let’s do it Romania! project some time ago. Looking at their interactive round-the country solid waste map, I was both pleasantly surprised to learn how many people have contributed to set it up and saddened to see so many beautiful places covered with waste.
So we decided to lend a hand to Ana Maria Hâncu and her team of volunteers and supporters. On 25 September we plan to be on the spot, gloves and boots on, and join other volunteers to clean up a piece of the green, restoring it to its original beauty. If you would like to join the project, there is still time to do so, the deadline for registration of volunteers is 10 September!
You can find out more about the Let’s do it Romania! project from their website and Facebook group. Hope to see as many of you on the 25th of September! Let’s do it Romania!
