2012 is a big year for the UK: Her Majesty The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June; the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London starting in July; and more immediately, the official visit of Prime Minister Cameron to Washington next week.
As all eyes are on Britain this year, we want to show the world what we have to offer. Our open, innovative economy makes us a top choice to do business. Our beautiful countryside, vibrant cities and rich history make Britain great to visit. And our world-class universities and entrepreneurs are creating the next generation of technology.
The Prime Minister’s visit is a tremendous opportunity for our national leaders to discuss the world’s most pressing issues, on which our two countries–the closest of friends and allies–are working together around the world. We look forward to welcoming the Prime Minister to Washington at an important time for both Britain and America.
