Sziget Music Festival Day 3 (part 8)

The online version of Nepszabsag, one of Hungary’s broadsheets, want to do a video interview with me. The journalist is the same one who interviewed me a couple of years ago when we launched a “Music Against Racism” initiative at the Festival – it is still going strong, now with a Hungarian coordinator. The interview is partly about why the Festival is of interest to us (consular work, networking with partners, promoting the UK – as well as the music) and partly about the recent rioting in the UK. So it’s a chance to talk about the British Government’s zero tolerance towards thuggery and plans to assist all victims of the troubles.

Afterwards the journalist films us watching some Hungarian cultural displays and visiting the tent of the Jane Goodall Institute. Their youth “Roots and Shoots” environmental education branch has been active for some years and the Institute was launched last year when Dame Jane Goodall last visited Hungary. They are working on e.g. wildlife protection and environmental outreach work. Levi makes himself some fetching chimpanzee ears while I answer a quiz about the Institute’s work.
