Sziget Music Festival Day 2 (part 5)

At the European Meeting Point we meet the Ambassador from Kosovo, who is talking to a group of foreign affairs enthusiasts linked to Corvinus Univesity and the International Centre for Democratic Transition. We (my colleague Levi and I) complete a quiz based on Europe’s newest country – which he wins by one point….

Then off to the US Embassy tent to complete another quiz about America and meet some colleagues; the National Bank of Hungary tent for some games loosely linked to money and the economy; the Amnesty International tent for a game of boules associated with specific political victims (Levi wisely loses this time); and the Jewish Rabbi Council tent to complete a  quiz on Jewish issues (we paid a similar visit to the Jewish Meeting Point tent yesterday). There are lots of activities around the Festival, many linked to promoting tolerance and mutual understanding.

In between the US Ambassador and I pause to take in a great performance by UK duo La Roux, in front of a large and enthusiastic afternoon crowd.
